  • Grind the red chilli powder, souf, jeera, one teaspoon of pepper and garlic with a little water into a fine paste.
  • Cut the liver into 1 cm square pieces and wash well. Strain the excess water.In the pressure cooker, heat oil. Add mustard seeds, methi seeds and cook for a minute.
  • Add the ground masala and fry till the masala starts to form a ball. This will take a few minutes depending on the amount of water used to grind the masala.
  • Add in the liver and cook on high flame for 3-4 minutes. Add Salt, vinegar and curry leave. Add ¼ cup of water. Pressure cook for two - three whistles and switch off the gas.
  • Open the pressure cooker when cool.In another pan, add about 2-3 tablespoons of oil. Heat. To this add the crushed garlic and onions. Stir for a minute.
  • Add the cooked liver and curry leaves.Keep frying till the dish is dry and the excess water is gone. Add in the pepper powder.
  • The amount of pepper depends on how spicy you want the dish to be. Reduce the flame and fry for about 15 minutes. Garnish with few curry leave and serve hot.
